The Significance of Thanatos

Katrina Law returns in episode 16 of Arrow.  The title of the episode is The Thanatos Guild.  Reports are that, "this unforgettable episode will change Arrow forever."  I think we might be able to get insight  into this change by the very title itself.  Nyssa  will warn Oliver of  something that is about to happen that could impact everyone and  put everyone he loves  in grave danger.  We know that the titles of Arrow episodes are important and  often have a duel meaning.

Image result for Thanatos              It helps  to  understand Thanatos.  In Greek mythology, Thanatos was the personification of Death.  His  weapon was a sword or scythe, however, he usually brought a non-violent death. Violent death was brought by his sisters, the Keres.  Since we know that Willa Holland  will leave Arrow, speculation has come that she will die.  About this same time, we also have the appearance of Roy  Harper, adding to the idea that perhaps Thea Queen will die.

The writers  have stated in the past that they would not want to kill off Oliver's only living relative after all he has endured, however, since his marriage to Felicity and with his son, William he would not be left alone, and would have the support he needs to get through such a time.

We have clues that Thea is not as strong as she once was.  She often has spoken  about feeling weak, so is this because she has something wrong with her?  Since Thanatos  is  associated with  non-violent  death, let's hope that she won't be cut down with a sword a second time.

Also, I am hoping that no one else in the team will have to die.  The loss of Thea will be huge to the team, not only to Oliver.  William and Felicity have a bond  with Thea as well, and so we  wait and see will happen.
