Felicity and Laurel Friendship

Image
I've been getting a lot of people asking me about the promo photos for 714.  Summed up the question is: Does Felicity tell Laurel and not Oliver about the baby?  People seemed concerned that Felicity will hide the truth from Oliver.  Let's dig in and see what we can discover. First, I don't think Felicity hides the truth from Oliver.  She places a high priority on the truth, so my guess is she does not lie.  Also, Mia knows her father is Oliver.  She tells William I am your sister. She could only say that if she knew Oliver was her Dad.  It's good to see female friendships on the screen.  We all have close friends we share things with.  That's been something missing from Felicity's life.  Her mom's not around, so she can't talk to her Mom.  Lyla's busy with ARGUS, so she can't talk to Lyla.   While I don't know that I trust E2 Laurel, she did stop Felicity from torturing the Silencer. Felicity would have regretted it if she had don

Will Felicity Tell Oliver Her News?

Image
I've have been asked if Felicity will tell Oliver her news, and that's a good question.  Some say, "How could she after they just said goodbye to William?  Other's say how could she not, since they just said goodbye to William, this would give them an opportunity to have an extra blessing?  Both are good points.  Arrow likes to keep everything true to current time, so two weeks will have passed since she found out.  She could have told him and then when the show comes back on, he already knows.  If they do that, then viewer misses out the chance to see his reaction.  They could have her hold back, and then somehow Oliver finds out, but in that scenario would Oliver be hurt that she kept it from him? My opinion, and this is just my opinion , Felicity has told him.  One point about her character is that she has always been up front about things. She's not afraid to talk to Oliver.  We all would like to see his reaction, but I'm not sure the writers will give

Star City Slayer Review Arrow 713

We had major developments in this episode that lead to some answered questions from the flash-forwards.   Olicity fans found cause of rejoicing on many levels.  The episode moved in fast paced fashion, and showed the full range of emotion that Stephen Amell can give to his character.  Arrow showcased the team in a unique way as well.  Arrow also gave us a well-developed Stanley Dover.  They introduced this character in episode one at first creating a sympathetic character  while at the same time creating  doubt and then  giving  us the  the full development of his derangement by episode 13.  These "small" villains add so much to the show.  They should do this more often. Then  we had the wonderful scenes with  Oliver and Felicity at parents both now and in the future.  Let's dig in.        Oliver and Felicity and William:  Oliver takes a step back from the SCPD in this episode to focus on William and what he had done to get expelled from school.  We see Oliver's p

Mystery of Blackstar

As this reviewer reads online articles and read the various Olicity Facebook posts  and blogs, I see the ever increasing  concern  about the hopes  of  a  Queen baby dashed.  I'm hoping to reassure  you that those  are  all misdirects from the  writers.  Tight-lipped Beth gives very little  away.  She hints that  Felicity  and Oliver are unconnected the Blackstar,  whom we at first were told  was to be Maya, but now we find her called Mia.  Those who have followed  Arrow for a  long time understand all the misdirects.  We  did hear  that on episode 713 which  is airs  Monday, we  will get a big reveal. I'm going out on a limb and  say what one  big reveal probably is.  William's  home and Oliver and Felicity are  having trouble trying to reach and understand William.  They are facing their first real parenting challenge.  Felicity questions  her  ability to  parent. Oliver's taking time off to address the  parenting issues, and in the middle  of this we find Felic

Arrow's 150th Episode: The Emerald Archer 712 Review

The 150th episode of Arrow proved an interesting change of pace.  It paid homage to the show and the characters we love who are no longer with the show, and it still gave a connective plot to the future episodes. I thought the documentary style might be a confusing,   I actually found this episode enjoyable.  It gave us insights into our characters and it brought our team back out into the open, although why Felicity didn't receive a badge bothered me a bit.              Oliver: A film crew follows Oliver as they follow the life the Vigilante, though it didn't seem so much about Oliver and it did on the questions of vigilante as a whole. It focuses, for me, on how they have all fared since season 6.  Oliver shows so much growth.  He says, "I'm not sure I'm a leader.  I made a lot of mistakes."  It takes growth to admit this.  Oliver still has issues within himself.  He tends to blame himself, this may always remain a part of himself.  I imag
