In episode one, John Diggle is Skyping Oliver, and John asks, "How are things with Felicity and he going?" Oliver didn't seem to have an answer. You could see he was hopeful. Now we understand why. Sometime prior to that meeting with John, Oliver and Felicity had sex in the bunker. Curtis did what the viewer wanted to do, get Oliver and Felicity back together in a meaningful way.
This flashback explains why Oliver met Felicity on the balcony. Oliver had hoped they would be a couple again, then he finds out that Felicity is now with Billy. He couldn't bring himself to use the front door until episode 19. If you watch that scene again, you see the hope and hesitation in both of them. Both wanting to reach out, both holding back. The 520 Flashback gives these scenes so much more meaning as the viewer reflects on that. 520 was a pivotal episode. Now the viewer can't wait to see how Oliver and Felicity move forward, and move forward they well. Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards had so many outstanding moments. They make us believe in Olicity. This is what makes Arrow so awesome for me.
Prometheus and Talia want to push Oliver to his breaking point. They want him to believe that he is nothing but evil and cruel. They use physiological techniques to try and break him. I think Susan Williams will also be used to break him. In an interview with the CW, Stephen Amell says that Oliver doesn't believe that Susan is out to get him. He even told Thea that Susan would never out him as the Green Arrow. What will Oliver think if she does? What is Susan's secret.
According to Wolf Hall, season six will explore Oliver Queen's life and new role as father. He will face many challenges as William may have some resentment towards Oliver and his role in the death of his mother. William doesn't really know Oliver, and his role as Green Arrow. Wolf Hall hints that it is possible Oliver will think of retirement as the Green Arrow to focus on being Mayor and father. This also can be heard in the recent trailer when Slade Wilson discusses with Oliver how difficult it is to walk in two worlds. Wolf Hall also hints that it is possible that William is kidnapped, and Oliver will be forced out of retirement to be the Green Arrow to find his son. What do you think of this scenario? Well, things have slowed down her for a bit, so here as promised are the few things I don't like about Arrow. Keep in mind, that I know nothing about comic books. I didn't even know there was a Green Arrow comic book. I came to Arrow because of the Flash. When some of my older children were young, they watched the Flash, so when a new Flash came out, I watched it and during a commercial break, they advertised Arrow. We decided to to tune in the next day to see what it was like. We stayed because of the Olicity story line; we had to know if Oliver and Felicity would get together. We got caught up on Netflix with the previous seasons and we were hooked. I don't know if you will will agree with me or not, and that's okay, you don't have to. The Big Bad .
