Flash Review: Invasion

Image
Wow, that episode soared as a great crossover event.  From the minute it started, it hooked the viewer.                     The Dominators came to  Central City, and we find Lila getting Barry to help.  Barry knew he needed help so he gets Oliver and Diggle, and where do they go?                The Loft!  Felicity even called Thea.  Did  you find yourself  laughing as Diggle  heaved over the railing  at the loft?  He always has trouble getting used to speed. We found out the secret.  Well, sort of.  We still don't know why 40 years in the future people have trouble trusting Barry.  Is it the time travel?  I think we may learn  more about this in the future. I can understand why Cisco is angry with Barry.  Those  are natural feelings.  Felicity wants t...

Flash Tonight: Invasion

Image
I have high hopes for the Flash being a better crossover story than Supergirl.  According to the promo, there is going to be a  shocking secret related to Flashpoint, and so no one knows whom to trust.  Are you curious as to what the shocking secret is?  I am.  Barry created huge problems when he messed with time.  I read one review a few weeks ago that said Barry never has consequences for changing time, but I think we are starting to see consequences now, and it's not just affecting those in Central City. Will we see any Olicity tonight?  I am hoping we catch glimpses, aren't you?  I will not be able to watch the show until late tonight.  I will DVR it, and write the review tomorrow, but by all means please feel free to write your comments and thoughts on the episode in the comments section below. Will the Dominators take control of Oliver?  That's my guess from trailers I have seen. ...

Thoughts on Supergirl: Medusa

Image
I watched Supergirl when it first came out on CBS, but I never got interested in it, so never watched it again.  Tonight, I watched because it was the first of the four night crossover, and well, it proved why I don't like crossovers.  The Flash and Cisco appeared in the last minute of the episode simply saying they needed help.  Really? The last minute the "crossover" event happened?  It didn't seem like an event to me.  It seemed contrived and another mechanism for the CW to get added viewers, and sadly, I fell for it. Melissa Benoist does a good job playing Supergirl, and I thought            Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor  showed depth of character to her role.  She fooled me,  I thought for sure that she worked for her mother.  I did like the line Kara gave her when she said, "Be your own hero."  That's a good quote for any of us to remember. Since I ...

Breaking my Own Rule

Image
Okay, so I am breaking my own rule of not watching the crossovers in shows I don't normally watch.  I didn't watch the Legends crossover last year, because I don't watch Legends, but after seeing the above image of Tom Cavanagh and Emily Bett Rickards as HR and Felicity, I have decided this looks like an adventure I don't want to miss.  So, tomorrow I will watch Supergirl and post my thoughts on it later that evening.  After watching the trailer, I knew  I had to get in on the action from the beginning. Hope you are all having a fabulous Sunday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1XVHbeFIu8

How the Gilmore Girls (Spoilers) gives Hope for Olicity

Image
☺ Are you a fan of the Gilmore Girls?  I am and so of course when Netflix came out with a new season, I tuned in.  Gilmore Girls ended the way the producer, Amy Sherman-Palladino wanted the original series to end, with Luke and Lorelai getting married.        Throughout the whole series, the viewer knew that Luke and Lorelei loved each other and  would get together. But when the writers changed and the direction of the story changed, it never seemed right.  Amy Palladino said that when they had first envisioned the show, Luke was not even planned to be a major character.  He was just in for one small  scene in the cafe, yet the when Scott Patterson came in to read for the part with Lauren the writers noticed a chemistry between them, so the wrote Luke as a permanent character.  Now, who does that remind you of?          Exactly! Emily  Bett Rickards and Stephen Amell! So why panic?  Marc Gug...

As Promised My Complaints with Arrow

Image
Well, things have slowed down her for a bit, so here as promised are the few things I don't like about Arrow.           Keep in mind, that I know nothing about comic books.  I didn't even know there was a Green Arrow comic book.  I came to Arrow because of the Flash.  When  some of my older children were young, they watched the Flash, so when a new Flash came out, I watched it and during a commercial break, they advertised Arrow.  We decided to to tune in the next day to see what it was like.  We stayed because  of the Olicity story line; we had to know if Oliver and Felicity  would get together. We got caught up on Netflix with the previous seasons and we were hooked. I don't know if you will  will agree with me or not, and that's okay, you don't have to. The Big Bad . Having a big bad as main focus for the whole season is almost too long.  In season one, we knew Malcom Merlin was the "Big Bad", but...

Thoughts on Olicity

Image
I've been seeing a lot of concern over Olicity in several of the blogs I read, and I want to share with my readers some thoughts that I have.  First, Wendy Mericle has said the the theme of this year is Legacy.  A legacy is something we had down to future generations.  Each member of  Original Team Arrow (OTA) will struggle with their legacy. Each of the three major characters made choices over the last five years, and now they are coming to terms with those choices. Oliver wants to save Star City, and will struggle with what he has accomplished, because after what Damion did, the city is more of a mess than when Oliver came back from the island. Felicity, has to come to terms with Havenrock and also her loss of Oliver and the choices she made.  Diggle, chose to kill his brother. He knows he had to do what he did, but he still has to find a way to live with it.               Mericle also seemed to hedge on Olicity. ...

Okay, Folks.. Stephen Amell has Hope for Olicity

Image
I love RiRi's Facebook Page, Olicity-Arrow, and she has given me permission to quote her post.                         From RiRi:  Just met Stephen for his autograph. I told him about this page and how everyone is freaking out I asked him if there's still hope for Olicity he said, "There's always hope. Don't give up." He also asked me, "but don't you still love their scenes together this year?" And I said absolutely. I will always love their scenes. He did joke and say more than once Billy has to die first. I told him to make it happen! Lol. But he said don't give up on them. So, those who were fretting, can relax a little.  ðŸ˜ƒ More thoughts coming soon.  I have a busy week ahead with school and Thanksgiving trip for a family reunion, but keep checking back. Thanks for your support.

Arrow 507: Vigilante Review: Caution spoilers if you haven't seen the episode

Image
I'm filled with many emotions on this episode. I went from frustrated to moved to surprised.  So, let's begin.  There's a Vigilante in town and Oliver and team have to decide what to do.  The Vigilante kills and Oliver and his team use the justice system.  Speaking of the justice system, what did you think of Adrian Chase.  Where you a little surprised at how he handled the interrogation?  He said that he's "been to hell and back."  I'm keeping my eye on him. Not sure were I land in my opinion of him.      In the flashbacks , which I am still not a fan of, we find that Kovar's maid is Taiana's mother.  That surprised me. Also Bratva seems to be playing Oliver, but  I'm not sure of that either.        I loved the scenes with Quintin and Thea .  They are bonding with each other, and each one needs the other.  Thea needs a father, and Quintin needs a daughter. I was glad that Quintin told Thea wha...

Arrow 507 Vigilante Review Coming Soon

Image
There's a new Vigilante in town, and now the team is divided over whether or not he should be stopped. I can't wait to see it. My review will be up sometime tomorrow. Today I have a long day of lessons at the school.  It will be up by end of day tomorrow. Which character will die in episode 100?  I know who will be on the top of my list. Who's on the top of the list for you? I want to thank each of you who have come by the page.  All comments are encouraged. You have helped me make this blog a better place for you.  Thanks! See you tomorrow.

Shado

Image
Okay, Readers, you are probably frustrated with me speculating on Prometheus, and I think this one will be my last one.  Could Shado be Prometheus?  In the photo, does that look similiar to the bow Shado used? It did to me.  You may ask, why am I spending time suggesting women as Prometheus? Good question. I go back to what Marc said early on.  It has something to do with season one and that Oliver played a small role in creating Prometheus. I have looked at season one and two characters that could possibly be Prometheus.  I suspected Billy Malone at first, but he seems too easy.  I  think we shall find he knows who Prometheus is and aids Prometheus, but I am not yet convinced that he is Prometheus. So, how could it be Shado?  She died, but the Lazarus Pit could be involved.  The Flash has messed with time, so perhaps that could figure in.  But, my biggest question is why would Shado want to kill Oliver?  That I haven't wo...
