Living Proof: Arrow 721 Review

Image
Living Proof proved to be an interesting title for me.  Oliver's  living proof that people change; we have living proof of the power of forgiveness and sacrifice in the story between Roy and Dinah.  Both of these are compelling story lines.  In the Flash Forward's we have living proof in Felicity's steadfast need  to protect her children at all costs.  This episode sets up the final episode with the reason why Felicity goes into hiding.        Oliver and Tommy:  I so enjoyed the interaction between these two.  In the beginning Tommy serves as Oliver's conscience.  The struggle that Oliver has always had still lays inside himself.  It serves to ask can a person ever be free of the past?  Both Tommy and Oliver were affected by the lives of their Fathers.  The scene with the two of them begins by Oliver calling for "Overwatch, and John." His first thought is of his wife and then ...

Arrow 612 All for Nothing Review

I have mixed  feelings about this  episode.  The writers carried the story forward, and  we learn that there's an even  bigger mole within James's organization.  However,  the Newbies are becoming tiring.  I care less about Rene  and  Curtis  than I ever have.  Then there  is the building to the Black Siren redemption that the writers promised they  would explore.  Suffice it to  say this episode will not remain on my  top ten  list of best episodes.       Olicity:  I know that we cannot expect to have an Olicity centric episode each week, that would not even be realistic.  I do enjoy the moments the  writers give us of this husband and wife team.  It's the little things that sweeten  the scenes.  Oliver comes in looking worried, and Felicity says, "I love that face, but it's a worried face."  Then they hug, and sway back and forth in that h...

Update on Oliver's Unlikely Ally

Image
According to the International Business Times, Oliver's unlikely ally will  indeed be Laurel Lance.  It appears there will be a secret team up between Oliver and Laurel.  We knew they hinted at a redemption of Laurel, so  this probably  won't be a huge surprise.  The IBT said that the cast and crew have been tight- lipped about it, but all point to that direction.  Knowing that the  IBT described it as a secret team up between Laurel and Oliver, has me a little bit concerned.  Surely this is not a secret that Oliver will keep from Felicity, but I wonder just how she  will feel about it.  They wouldn't bring Oliver's character so far, and then have him backslide by keeping  this  a secret from Felicity or even Diggle for that matter....

Dinah Drake

Image
The Christian  Post has reported that the team members will have doubts about Dinah Drake.  Can  they really trust her after she  has  seen Vincent Sobel, aka, Vigilante?  She has told the team that she  didn't reveal any information  to him, but do they know that even as they have split and Curtis and Rene have gone with  Dinah, that Dinah has continued to see Vincent?  If they find out what will they think?  Does anyone yet know that Vincent works with James?  Working with James will make Vincent more powerful that he ever was alone, and what will Dinah do when she finds out? They say it will probably take something quite drastic for Dinah to prove to everyone she now cares for that she truly wants to be with the team. Tribute Arrow 602 Review

Image
Overwatch       Arrow starts off with the traditional voice over that we didn't have last week, followed by new title card. Instead of just the Arrow, we now have a symbol for each member of Team Arrow.  There  is bird for Dinah (BC), a dog for Rene (Wild Dog), a T for Curtis (Mr. Terrific), a technological eye for  Felicity (Overwatch) and a helmet for Diggle (Spartan).  It was unexpected and also a great idea.  It's no longer Oliver  working alone, but everyone working together as a Team.  It's part of the growth of the show. Oliver no longer needs to be alone.  So, here are my  thoughts on tonight's episode.           John and Dinah:   Dinah finally found out the John's injuries are serious.  He has shrapnel wounds that caused nerve damage.  I thought their scenes were intense, but also, I felt a sense of relief, because frankly, it seemed in 601, that John and Dinah were ...
