Doppelganger Arrow 615 Review

Image
Last night's episode ranks with one of the  best! It had wonderful Olicity moments, a  moving scene between the Queen siblings, a talk between Felicity and Diggle, Roy and Thea back together, and of course plenty of  fast action scenes between OTA and  the  Diaz "Family".  The  cherry on the  top of  all  this goodness rests  in the  knowledge we didn't have to deal with Curtis  or Rene.          Olicity:   I loved the  Olicity moments.  Felicity  know  Oliver so very  well.  When he comes back to the bunker  without Roy, Felicity goes to Oliver and knows  what he thinks.  She knows he blames himself for putting  Roy in this situation by Roy turning himself in as the Arrow.  Oliver has changed, yet within him  still exists  the core part of his  pers...

Arrow 615 Doppelganger

Image
We know Roy Harper returns in 615 for a  short arc.  According to the synopsis, Oliver and Thea are shocked  to hear that Roy Harper is back in Star City. So, apparently he doesn't let them know.  The synopsis said that Roy is in trouble and Thea and Oliver jump in to save him.  Also in this episode Black Siren will make a shocking decision.  Hmm. two shocks in one episode.         We know someone leaves the cast, and most agreed that it will be Willa Holland who plays Thea.  So, will she go off with Roy after they save him?  Will she  die?  It's all a  mystery, isn't it.       As for BS, what could her shocking decision be?  Would it shock us that she help the team?  Or would it be shocking that she turn her back on the team that tried so hard  to redeem her?

The Significance of Thanatos

Image
Katrina Law returns in episode 16 of Arrow.  The title of the episode is The Thanatos Guild.  Reports are that, "this unforgettable episode will change Arrow forever."  I think we might be able to get insight  into this change by the very title itself.  Nyssa  will warn Oliver of  something that is about to happen that could impact everyone and  put everyone he loves  in grave danger.  We know that the titles of Arrow episodes are important and  often have a duel meaning.               It helps  to  understand Thanatos.  In Greek mythology, Thanatos was the personification of Death.  His  weapon was a sword or scythe, however, he usually brought a non-violent death. Violent death was brought by his sisters, the Keres.  Since we know that Willa Holland  will leave Arrow, speculation has come that she will die.  About this same time, we also have the appearan...

Return of Roy Harper

Image
The showrunners have stated that Roy  Harper will return around episode 15 for a short story arc.  It will be significant for Thea's story.  There have been lots of speculation as to what this will mean.  Apparently Willa Holland, Thea Queen, wanted few episodes just as she had last season.  Some speculate  that she wants out of the show.  There hasn't been  much for her to  do in the last few episodes.  We know she told Oliver that she's  not feeling as strong as she once did, but she  has indeed gone through a lot of trauma.  She's had to deal with being killed by Ras Al Ghul and  resurrected, suffered from blood lust, and had to see  her  father step on a land mine to save her.  Add to that being injured and in a coma,  so of course that would make anyone weak.         I've read of two possible story lines.  One is Roy's coming back wil...

Roy Harper Returns to Arrow in Episode 15

Image
Beginning with episode 15, we will see Colton Haynes reprising his role as Arsenal aka, Roy Harper.  Marc Guggenheim says, "Roy called back to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team." Apparently his short visit will have lasting consequences for both he and Thea.  His visit, "...turns into something surprising  when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both their lives..."  So what do you think will happen?  Will this be what causes Thea to suit up and become "Speedy" again?

Thoughts on Stephen Amells Two Truths and a Lie

Image
I've been thinking about Stephen Amell's two truths and a lie.  To remind the readers the three statements Stephen made were : Oliver and Slade have a talk in present day.  Diggle deploys his gun, it doesn't fire and he misses  someone. Thea and Oliver have a talk in present day.   Stephen has confirmed that Manu Bennett will return in several episodes as Slade Wilson, so unless they are just flashbacks that he will  be in, then this would seem like the likely truth.  Diggle deploying his gun and having it not fire seems rather unlikely knowing Diggle skill as a soldier.  I know military men having been around them all my life, and they know how to keep their weapons in working order, so on the surface this would seem like the lie.    Thea having a talk with Oliver in present day, would be a truth if she survived the island, as we all think.  However I think back to Marc Guggenheim's talk, which you can find on this site, and he said ...

Plot Twist: Arrow 515 Fighting Fire with Fire has SurprisesReview

Image
Prometheus is Adrian Chase. I was surprised for I was certain that he was the Vigilante.  So now we have two enemies going after Oliver each for their own purposes.  I thought all along that Prometheus was the main"big bad", but now we have the Vigilante who wants Oliver for his own reasons.  Does the Vigilante work for Prometheus or does the Vigilante want to be the one who kills Oliver? Prometheus doesn't seem to want to kill Oliver.  He's like a cat toying with the prey.  He wants to get into Oliver's head and now he has kidnapped Susan. What will this drive Oliver to do.  In so may respects he is like Slade Wilson, and he has taken the one Oliver loves, just as Slade did when he took both Laurel and Felicity.  So maybe Susan isn't the enemy the viewers thought or hoped she was. Prometheus as Adrian Chase even led Dinah to think that Adrian is the Vigilante, when he took that piece of the helmet.  So who is the Vigilante?  He su...
