Arrow Season 6 Review

Image
Season 6 of  Arrow has just come  out on Netflix.  I watched the first  episode again and I finally understood what Stephen Amell meant when he said that if we go back to the first episode, we will see that the finale could only end  one way.  The writers certainly did plant seeds all along the way that lead to that ending.  I am posting my thoughts on the entire sixth season of Arrow.  If they change after I watch  season six again, I will update  you  all on that. Season 6 got off to a rocky start for me with the first episode.  Season 5 ended  so well, and we all couldn't wait to see who had made it off the island and how they did it.  Yet the show started flat for me, there were no real surprises.  Everyone  but William's mother made off the island.  Yes, Diggle had hurt himself, and Thea left in a coma, but the episode felt anticlimactic after the build-up that lead to it. I mean th...

Arrow: Looking Ahead!

Image
I don't know about you, but the disagreements  that OTA has with NTA should come to an end.  This part of the season has begun to get a bit tiresome for this viewer.  I hope they  will resolve  their differences soon, and one way to do  that is for Oliver to be in a situation  that he can't get out of without their help.        Coming up in 616 we know the Thanatos Guild wants some box that Malcolm buried and they think Thea has it as she is heir to the Demon.  If you search my blog, I wrote about this previously. In 617 Oliver and Diggle will face their biggest challenge yet. In 618 the title changed from Back to Basics to Fundamentals, and this is an all Oliver concentric episode, and the one where he lashes out at Felicity and William. Form what I understand there will be flashbacks to  previous seasons in this episode.  619, the title is The Dragon, so my guess would be this will focus on Diaz. ...

And Baby Makes 4?

Image
As we wait two more days for the return of Arrow, we have the TV Guide had an article posing the question, Is Arrow ready for a Baby?  That's an interesting question.  Most Olicity fans have been ready for a baby since the second season!  The question is an interesting one.  I am a follower of Olicity-Arrow on Facebook, and the TV Guide article was posted there, and the response from Olicity fans was mixed, and in some respects that surprised me.  They all want Oliver and Felicity to have a baby, because they know that they make good parents, but he question they posed was is now the time? On the negative side, if Felicity finds out she's having a baby and then ends up going to prison, how would that be?  I still feel that someone will use her fingerprints on the bomb, even though it was defused, to be a link to get Oliver.  Should they give William more time to adjust to his life with his dad and step-mom?  If they would m...

Arrow 613 The Devil's Greatest Trick

Image
This week's Arrow has an interesting title: The Devil's Greatest Trick.  As a Christian, I believe the devil's greatest trick getting the world to believe he does not exist.  So with that in mind, what might possibly happen? I suppose there are endless possibilities.  Could it be getting Lance to believe that Laurel is changing for good, and so he puts trust in her?  Could it be someone has convinced William that things are not so bad?  In the synopsis for the show, it says that William demands more time from Oliver. It could also be that Oliver may end up going it alone with just his own team.  Could the Newbies be tempted to believe they don't need anyone either?  I know I have not given you any insight, just questions, but it's fun to question things together and see what plays out in the end, right?  The episode looks to be a great one.

Why Olicity Works

Image
There have always been people who never wanted Felicity and Oliver together, but recently there has been some joy over the fact that in the first two  episodes of  Arrow they saw very little of "Olicity".  In some reviews, there has been little mention at all of  Felicity.  I am not a purist, and  in full disclosure, I have to admit, when I first viewed Arrow, I had no idea that Arrow was a comic book hero.  I approached Arrow as sort of a fantasy/adventure show.  I have gone back over the  early seasons of Arrow and I found reasons why Felicity worked, and why Arrow needed  her  and hence why Arrow  needs Olicity.       For background let's look at the past lives of both Oliver and Felicity.  Oliver's parents treated their children more like adult friends than children. After Oliver returns from the island and Thea had been arrested for shoplifting, Moria tells Thea to get ready for school, and Thea tells...
