Brothers in Arms: Arrow 617 Review

Image
I enjoyed this episode, but I had to watch it twice and still I am confused as to why everyone seems think everything is all Oliver's fault.  We got to see a lot of David Ramsey as John Diggle, and he performed his role to perfection.  We also saw Felicity at her best as well.  It seems clear to me that we are gearing up towards not only the end of season 6, but the beginning of season 7 as well.   I hope this  blog doesn't get too long for you,  but for me there was a lot there.      Olicity:  I always like to start with Oliver and Felicity, because for me they are the heart of Arrow.  Did you notice that every time Felicity left the room she always touched Oliver at his heart.  She is his core. She reminds of him of who he is and what they have together.  I loved the humor at the beginning of  the episode.  She's dressed in bright yellow (this woman can wear every col...

The Heart of Arrow

Image
I have no idea if this is going to be a scene from Season 6 episode one, but it seems plausible that it could be.  Could Felicity have made it to the plane across the island?  It seems doubtful.  We know that in all likelihood there will be people who die.  So for Felicity to be injured or  unconscious is not far from the  realm of possibilities. Oliver will have so much to deal with, but season five set the groundwork for his ability to handle what  has happened.  He won't blame himself this time.  Now he will be strength  for Felicity, Diggle, and  the others to handle what has happened to them. I don't  know about you, but I don't watch Arrow because of the comics, I  know zero about the storylines from the comics.  I watch Arrow because of the story it tells. The writers weave characters we care about.  They write so that the viewer can identify with story  and the people.  One the viewer can r...

More on Diggle's Story in Season 6 episode 1 to 6

Image
From the sleuthing I've been able to do, David Ramsey  and  Stephen  Amell has said that Diggle has a secret and that Diggle's been injured  in the explosion.  He is more injured than anyone imagines.  Is that a secret?  It could be. There will also be some sort of disagreement between Oliver and Diggle.  There are hints that Oliver will be outed as the Green Arrow.  Would Susan Williams do this or Oliver himself?  I am sure by now half of  Star City should realize that the Mayor is also the Green Arrow, so would anyone really care? What do you think of Diggle's secret and what do you think the disagreement between Oliver and Diggle will be? gifs by giphy.com

Susan Williams, a Wedding, and a new Costume for Black Canary

Image
Black Canary  will get a new suit.  What do  you think?  Her mask is distinctively different.  It's good that has no real resemblance to the Laurel Lance  costume, which in my humble  opinion was  overcome with buckles.  Do you think the Black Siren and the Black Canary  will be at odds? Stephen Amell stated in his Q and A on Facebook that they are not done with Susan Williams.  It did seem she dropped off the face  of the earth, and she had  a lot of information on Oliver Queen. Sounds like she may reappear in season 6. Also hinted that there will be a wedding on Arrow, and when David Ramsey was questioned on if the wedding would be the Felicity and Oliver, he just smiled.  We  certainly are  all waiting for that.  It is also hinted that the wedding  would be part of a crossover show.  Personally, I hope that is not the case.  The only other show I watch is Flash, and I am qui...

Dangerous Liaisons Pivotal to Episode 20

Image
In one week we will finally see Dangerous Liaisons, and I am sure we all can't wait.  This will be pivotal to the rest of the season, and sets up the beginning of the understanding of Oliver and Felicity. Felicity can get information on Chase from Helix, but they want her to do something dangerous for them.  Whatever it is, it must be illegal, and Oliver wants Felicity to back out, but she tells him, "You'll have to stop me," and I look forward to seeing exactly how he does it.  Felicity in that brief scene, appears almost darker than Oliver from Season One. We all know Oliver cares to much for Felicity to let her go down this dark path, if he can stop her.  I think the whole team will be behind him.  I know everyone, me included looks for to episode 20, but  this one will be one that leads us to 20, and the we will learn a lot from this episode.  When Oliver get's Felicity out of Helix, she won't be happy, and that certainly will lead into the ...

John Diggle and Flashpoint

Image
Since the Flash  is on tonight, I've been thinking a lot about the Flashpoint episode the repercussions of Barry going, yet again, back in time.  In season 4 episode 8 Barry tells Oliver, "When I mess with time, it doesn't end well."  You would think the boy  would learn, but when matter's of the heart are at stake, Barry doesn't listen to his head, does he?     So, in Flashpoint, Barry's time travel affected  John Diggle, and in  way  Felicity, because she knows what Barry did.  David Ramsey  did reveal a little insight into  his  character's  dilemma, when he said, "I can't miss something I never had."  He never knew baby Sara  the way  we did,  and he only has  his son, John, now, so he has vaild point.  Does that mean Barry  will stay in the current time line, and there will never be a baby Sara?  Also, I understand from  those who watch Legends of Tomorrow,  tha...
