Elseworlds Arrow 709 Review

Image
These are  my thoughts on Elseworlds, not so much as a review, but as to where I think this takes Arrow in the  future.  I  have never been  a fan  of the Crossovers.  The  only one I ever enjoyed  was the one  last year, because it seemed  more like a movie.  This  one fell  flat for me, because unless you are a comic book fan and know the characters, you are basically lost, or at least that his how we felt.  When I followed Arrow, I didn't even know he  was comic book hero.  I accidentally found it during season 3 and I had to find  out if that IT girl and  the Arrow would get  together in the  end.  Oliver and  Felicity's  story  drew me in, and so my  family and I binged  watched the  first two episodes  and  were hooked.  When I started  doing  reviews, then I watched  the crossovers.  This  year, ...

Thoughts on the Flash 403

Image
The Flash has taken a lighter tone this season.  It's good to see a happier kind of Barry. I felt sorry for Wally and his loss of Jessie. I had hoped that they might be round this season.  Did you feel bit sorry for Wally when he announced that he had been gone, but no one noticed?  I have a feeling that we haven't see the last of either one of them.  Of course the way Jessie had treated her dad was the catalyst for Harry to return.  I find Tom Cavanagh's acting amazing.  He has played four different versions of Harry Wells now, and each so different.    I find  I miss H.R, but this Harry has potential too.  I enjoy his interaction with Cisco. Did you enjoy the way Iris wanted to hurry up and marry Barry, thinking that they may never end up getting married?  That was cute.             Reading the feed about Joe and Cecile having a baby, I discovered...

My Thoughts On Flash 402

Image
Of all the shows in the Arrowverse, I only watch Flash and Arrow. I found Arrow because I watched the premier of Flash, and during a commercial break they advertised Arrow.  Since it was on the next night, I watched to see Oliver have his first date with Felicity.  It didn't end well, but they seemed so well matched together, that my family and I binged watched Arrow to catch up. Arrow quickly became my favorite show.  That being said, I do watch Flash, and so I will share my thoughts on last evening's show.  There clearly is more mystery this season and to who the villains are.      Caitlin Snow's character is interesting to me, because the viewer wants to know for whom does she work and why?  What causes her to slip in and out of Killer Frost?  She's rather like  Jekyll and Hyde.  Was anyone else surprised that the team so quickly took Caitlin back into their lives?  Hmmm, should we be worried.  I don't know abou...

Flash Review Abra Kadabra

Image
Barry Allen and Abra Kadabra , a villainous magician, comes to Central City from Earth 19 to steal the necessary items to use the time machine to travel to the future.  He is a creepy sort of villain.  His eyes seem at times glazed over. He doesn't like Barry Allen, and tempts Barry to letting him go.  Abra, knows who the Savitar is, and this information could save Iris.  In the end Barry decided not to let Abra go, but pleads with him for the sake of those he cared for to tell them about Savitar so they can save Iris. Abra's hatred for Barry in the future, that he takes delight in not telling them.  Then Barry comes up with an idea, he will travel to the future, learn what they know, and then they can stop Savitar.  Wait? What?  This is why the Flash is often hard to take.  Barry never learns a lesson.  How many times has he messed with time, and each t...

Thoughts on Supergirl: Medusa

Image
I watched Supergirl when it first came out on CBS, but I never got interested in it, so never watched it again.  Tonight, I watched because it was the first of the four night crossover, and well, it proved why I don't like crossovers.  The Flash and Cisco appeared in the last minute of the episode simply saying they needed help.  Really? The last minute the "crossover" event happened?  It didn't seem like an event to me.  It seemed contrived and another mechanism for the CW to get added viewers, and sadly, I fell for it. Melissa Benoist does a good job playing Supergirl, and I thought            Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor  showed depth of character to her role.  She fooled me,  I thought for sure that she worked for her mother.  I did like the line Kara gave her when she said, "Be your own hero."  That's a good quote for any of us to remember. Since I ...
