Tune in with Turner

We had major developments in this episode that lead to some answered questions from the flash-forwards.   Olicity fans found cause of rejoicing on many levels.  The episode moved in fast paced fashion, and showed the full range of emotion that Stephen Amell can give to his character.  Arrow showcased the team in a unique way as well.  Arrow also gave us a well-developed Stanley Dover.  They introduced this character in episode one at first creating a sympathetic character  while at the same time creating  doubt and then  giving  us the  the full development of his derangement by episode 13.  These "small" villains add so much to the show.  They should do this more often.                  James Bamford, director of this episode, should receive an Emmy as best director.  This episode focused solely on Slabside and the men inside. No other story line occurred to distract from the intensity of this episode.  In fact there was very little dialogue, we just saw brute force.  Diaz and Oliver finally face off.  There actually was a lot that happened in this episode.  Slabside Redemption dealt with not only the redemption of Oliver from prison, but also with the redemption of Ben Turner, played superbly by Michael Jai White. This episode  was so unique that I won't be using the same  type of  format. I'm going to highlight the points that stood  out most to me.                  Oliver knows that by the end of the day he can be freed from this prison.        Have any of you wondered about Stanley?  He is in prison for murders he says he  didn't commit.  We know that this does  sometimes happen, but what if this inconspicuous, little man, is the informant for Ricardo Diaz?  In my last review, I said that Stanley adds a light element to the prison scenes, which we need. Also, Stanley acts as the impetus for Oliver to realize that he can be the Green Arrow, even in prison.  Instead of marking down the days to his release, he is fighting in prison,  while Felicity fights outside prison in the field to bring down Diaz.  The viewer might expect a Brick or a Turner to be the informant, but Diaz might chose someone no one would expect, a Stanley.  What if Stanley isn't so innocent as he looks?  What do you think?
