      Living Proof proved to be an interesting title for me.  Oliver's  living proof that people change; we have living proof of the power of forgiveness and sacrifice in the story between Roy and Dinah.  Both of these are compelling story lines.  In the Flash Forward's we have living proof in Felicity's steadfast need  to protect her children at all costs.  This episode sets up the final episode with the reason why Felicity goes into hiding.        Oliver and Tommy:  I so enjoyed the interaction between these two.  In the beginning Tommy serves as Oliver's conscience.  The struggle that Oliver has always had still lays inside himself.  It serves to ask can a person ever be free of the past?  Both Tommy and Oliver were affected by the lives of their Fathers.  The scene with the two of them begins by Oliver calling for "Overwatch, and John." His first thought is of his wife and then ...

Felicity took a cup of coffee out to the front porch of her cabin in the forest to watch Mia collect fireflies.  Mia would be five in about six months, and Felicity thought how lonely this time would be if she had not had her.  Her mind drifted to William.  He didn't know he had parents who loved him desperately, nor did he know he had a little sister.  What kind of brother would he have been? She felt certain he would be a protective older brother. She smiled when she thought that Mia would be a bossy little sister.  Her thoughts drifted toward  her husband, but she pulled them away; thinking of him was too hard. She called for Mia and told her,"time to get ready for bed."  "One more minute, Mommy, please?"  But Felicity encouraged her to come, and  Mia began to release the fireflies she had collected. "Why are you letting them go, Mia?" "Well, Mommy," she began, they are my watchman,  they are my, what were you once, Mommy?" ...

     Well, although this was not a concentric Olicity episode, we did  receive quite a huge reveal that certainly  surprised me.  So though this episode wasn't the best one for me, many things still happened that will drive the story forward  to it's  conclusion, which I think really won't happen until 810.  Now that we know season 8 will be the end of the series, season 8 will seem to me, anyway, more like an  extended  season 7.  Enough on that, let's dig in.               Oliver:  Oliver's heart is always for family.  I guess that's about the only good thing that Robert and Moria left him with.  He wants to save Emiko.  He knows she was only 11 when Moria made Robert choose between his  money, his company, and  Oliver and  Thea and Emiko and her mother.  When he left them he left them with no money and no home.  Oliver takes Robert's guil...

                What makes a hero?  We associate great courage and noble qualities with a  hero.  Oliver certainly has those.  Arrow,  for me, is like the Greek myths and legends of  old.  Oliver Queen reminds  me  of Odysseus.  Odysseus was the hero  of the Trojan war, whom Calypso holds captive.  Odysseus is  basically the story of   a man  who  wanted to go home.  Oliver has been on a homeward journey himself.  In the first five years, he wanted to go home to Star  City  and  his family.  When he meets Felicity, doesn't think he can be the hero Star City  needs and  have the family he  so  longs for.  Felicity finally convinces  him that he can have both worlds that of being a hero in the light while  at the same time having  a family. We had major developments in this episode that lead to some answered questions from the flash-forwards.   Olicity fans found cause of rejoicing on many levels.  The episode moved in fast paced fashion, and showed the full range of emotion that Stephen Amell can give to his character.  Arrow showcased the team in a unique way as well.  Arrow also gave us a well-developed Stanley Dover.  They introduced this character in episode one at first creating a sympathetic character  while at the same time creating  doubt and then  giving  us the  the full development of his derangement by episode 13.  These "small" villains add so much to the show.  They should do this more often.
