Oliver and Felicity Together 708

Image
One of the blog readers asked  me if I thought Oliver and Felicity would get a divorce, and since  many of you have  asked  me what  do I think the  synopsis for episode 8 mean, I thought I would  answer Nonny's question here. What concerns readers  is the  synopsis says Felicity makes certain decisions for her family  and she stands by them.  They also have read what Stephen Amell  said about his relationship with Felicity, "We do work it out pretty quickly that nothings ever going to be perfect or normal  about our relationship and the sooner that they accept that the sooner they can move on with their lives, " and some have wondered  does that mean  they  divorce.  This seems to be what worries  Olicity fans the most. I hope to address that here in this post. The events of season 6 which  lead  to Oliver being in prison and  Diaz determined to kill...

Slabside Redemption: Arrow 707 Review

Image
James Bamford, director of this episode, should receive an Emmy as best director.  This episode focused solely on Slabside and the men inside. No other story line occurred to distract from the intensity of this episode.  In fact there was very little dialogue, we just saw brute force.  Diaz and Oliver finally face off.  There actually was a lot that happened in this episode.  Slabside Redemption dealt with not only the redemption of Oliver from prison, but also with the redemption of Ben Turner, played superbly by Michael Jai White. This episode  was so unique that I won't be using the same  type of  format. I'm going to highlight the points that stood  out most to me.                  Oliver knows that by the end of the day he can be freed from this prison. When the guard goes to Oliver and says, "Good Morning 5487" Oliver responds "F...

Due Process: Arrow 706 Review

Image
This will be shorter since  today is Thanksgiving and tomorrow I  have a full day.   I hope you won't end up saying, "Tune in With Turner, you  have failed this review!"  This one has been difficult since  I think the story is  confusing on many  levels.  Here are my thoughts: Oliver:  Oliver progressing to become a  true hero in the light.  He has faced his many demons, the Island, Deathstroke, Chase, and not so much  Diaz  as  Dr. Parker. He has realized  who he is and what he is.  He is a  fighter  for justice who is unwilling to kill for the sake  of killing to scratch a  name or a villain off his list.  Prison has caused  him to face the last aspect he had to face: will he be the same kind father to William as his  father was to him?  Will he continue to  make decisions for everyone  he loves without consulting them...

The Demon Arrow 705

Image
This  episode of Arrow had  some very enlightening moments that might have been easy to  miss. It offered some surprises as well.  I  enjoyed  this episode, but I  still feel there needs to be some  connection to the  ARGUS story-line, but I can't quite  figure that out yet.                 The Demon:  Frankly, I feel rather stupid for not figuring  this  out, but the  Demon we  learn  is  Talia.  She is the daughter of the Demon, and  so it made sense to have her be the  Demon.  I had thought it was Dr. Parker or even  Stanley, so it was a surprise to find it was Talia, but not such a huge surprise, since I  had forgotten totally about this character. I had to stop and think, "Who is Talia?"  She survived Lian Yu because of the drug of  Diaz.   Apparently Talia arranged  the whole  prison thing a...

Happy Endings: It's All A Matter of Perspective

Image
I  know many  of  my  readers  have been upset over the flash-forward  revelation that  Felicity will be dead twenty years  from now.  I for one, don't believe we should panic.  Felicity and Oliver could be held captive in the Glades.  Obviously, someone is sending William the messages, so it could be Felicity, and she isn't dead. It's possible she faked  her own death to protect the ones she loves. It  could be that this Felicity is a one from another Earth.  I grant you that would be a strange thing to do,  and yet Beth has added some  metas to this season,  which if I recall, she wasn't keen on doing. But let's say the worst case scenario happens and Felicity is indeed  dead,   does that mean there was no happy  ending?  In the Fairy tale kind of way, no it's not a happy  ending, but i...
