Arrow 616 Thanatos Guild Review

Image
The plot seems stalled for now with Diaz.  We learn a little more of what he's up to,  but this episode set the stage for Thea and Roy to depart on their own hero journey, possibly allowing for a new big bad, Athena, reappearing in the future.  For me this episode was another so-so episode that only moved the plot forward slightly.  I apologize, if  this seems like a lack-luster review.  I have rehearsal for Easter looming  day and tomorrow, and I will  be with family on Sunday, so it's now or never that I write.  Also, for me the episode itself was lack-luster, in my humble opinion.  Let's dig in:       Olicity:   Olicity moments were few and far between.  This was a bit disappointing. At the farewell party for Thea and  Roy, Felicity and Oliver talked with Roy and Thea, and Felicity had her arm around Oliver and gazed lovingly into his eyes, but I am not certain I saw the same look back.  Did...

Arrow: Looking Ahead!

I don't know about you, but the disagreements  that OTA has with NTA should come to an end.  This part of the season has begun to get a bit tiresome for this viewer.  I hope they  will resolve  their differences soon, and one way to do  that is for Oliver to be in a situation  that he can't get out of without their help.        Coming up in 616 we know the Thanatos Guild wants some box that Malcolm buried and they think Thea has it as she is heir to the Demon.  If you search my blog, I wrote about this previously. In 617 Oliver and Diggle will face their biggest challenge yet. In 618 the title changed from Back to Basics to Fundamentals, and this is an all Oliver concentric episode, and the one where he lashes out at Felicity and William. Form what I understand there will be flashbacks to  previous seasons in this episode.  619, the title is The Dragon, so my guess would be this will focus on Diaz. ...

Doppelganger Arrow 615 Review

Last night's episode ranks with one of the  best! It had wonderful Olicity moments, a  moving scene between the Queen siblings, a talk between Felicity and Diggle, Roy and Thea back together, and of course plenty of  fast action scenes between OTA and  the  Diaz "Family".  The  cherry on the  top of  all  this goodness rests  in the  knowledge we didn't have to deal with Curtis  or Rene.          Olicity:   I loved the  Olicity moments.  Felicity  know  Oliver so very  well.  When he comes back to the bunker  without Roy, Felicity goes to Oliver and knows  what he thinks.  She knows he blames himself for putting  Roy in this situation by Roy turning himself in as the Arrow.  Oliver has changed, yet within him  still exists  the core part of his  pers...

The Black Siren

Image
When we left Arrow on Thursday, Black  Siren said she had thought she  had  been kidnapped and that her name was Laurel Lance.  There has  been much speculation about her.  One of my friends  told me something interesting.  She has the Olicity-Arrow page on Facebook, and if  you haven't  been there, you should visit it, because it is all things Olicity in one place.  Anyway she asked me what if she had  been tortured  on Earth 2?  That might explain some of her behavior.  We know that when she was 13 her father died, and then the love her life, Oliver on Earth 2 died.  It left her alone and bitter, so she turned to crime and  killing.  If she had  been in prison on her earth or had been tortured  it might parallel Oliver's journey a bit. Oliver, however,  even when  he was on the Island, didn't want to kill just to be killing.  Then with Diggle a...
