And Baby Makes 4?
As we wait two more days for the return of Arrow, we have the TV Guide had an article posing the question, Is Arrow ready for a Baby? That's an interesting question. Most Olicity fans have been ready for a baby since the second season! The question is an interesting one. I am a follower of Olicity-Arrow on Facebook, and the TV Guide article was posted there, and the response from Olicity fans was mixed, and in some respects that surprised me. They all want Oliver and Felicity to have a baby, because they know that they make good parents, but he question they posed was is now the time?
On the negative side, if Felicity finds out she's having a baby and then ends up going to prison, how would that be? I still feel that someone will use her fingerprints on the bomb, even though it was defused, to be a link to get Oliver.
Should they give William more time to adjust to his life with his dad and step-mom? If they would make William a teenager, which would seem more reasonable because of the actor's real age, it would probably work.
Is Arrow the kind of show where you want to get into a lot of family dynamic type relationships? Would that put more people in danger? Would Oliver want to stop being the Arrow?
They've been very busy lately trying to stop Cayden James and now they have a worse person to worry about, so do they even have time to think about children? Felicity hasn't even gotten her company off the ground, so would she even be thinking about children?
On the positive side, having a baby would bring a little lightness to the show that oftentimes seems dark. It might even be a time if they bring William's age up that William could be trained and even help Oliver on occasion, and I think would a dynamic to explore, don't you?
Would you like to see a baby in the bunker?

I think the whole thing with William learning all those skills Oliver could teach him, would be interesting, because they probably wouldn't always get along. Seeing Felicity juggling work and baby might be interesting too, but I am not sure if the viewers are ready for any of that, because of the simple nature of the show. Hope other readers respond. :)
ReplyDeleteI think the writers have written William too young, to learn skills from Oliver. If he were a teenager, it would work. Perhaps another question to ask is William ready to be a brother. He's not had Oliver to himself for very long. My guess is that Felicity could juggle both work and baby, but she may be filled with doubts, because of her own relationship with her mom. I guess we shall have to wait and see. I see pluses and minuses with it all, but I am an Olicity fan, and I would still love to see it at some point.
