Continued thoughts on Arrow 517 Kapiushon

  Oliver's look of anguish when he thought Chase had done something to Felicity wrenched our hearts and we could see his pain.  I have read that some people wanted to see the same anguish on Felicity's face.  I think we did.  We saw anger and shock. Felicity couldn't look at Oliver's face, she just stared at his tortured body.  Now in the upcoming episodes  we see her fighting Chase the only way she knows how, her computer skills.  This will pull her deeper into Helix.  In Disbanded, she is going to learn something about Helix, and this might put her into conflict with herself and even with Oliver,because he is going to ask her to stop using Helix, and she will tell him why you can't do that.  She will not want Oliver to use Bratva to stop Chase, either, and he won't listen to her,  and she will have to trust him.

One thing Oliver does is trust, and he trusts her. She has trouble trusting.  She holds back, but I think as she sees Oliver trusting her, this will give her a new perspective into his character, and Oliver is going to have a new perspective into Felicity's.  




  Adrian Chase spent six days trying to break Oliver; to get Oliver to admit that not only was he a killer, but he was a killer who delighted in it.   When Oliver through down his quiver and said he was done, it appeared that Chase had done his work, but Chase isn't done, and I am not convinced that Oliver believes in his heart that he loves killing.  He may have  in the beginning.  He seemed sometimes to aloof and too matter of fact, but Diggle began to change that, and then Felicity got him to see there was goodness in Oliver, and he could find another way.   Oliver has to come to terms with who he is at the core of his being.  I think by the end of  the season we shall see the fruition of this transformation.

Chase is the most diabolical villain that has been on Arrow, he's even crueler than Slade Wilson.  What makes him so terrifying is that he is the embodiment of everything he accused Oliver of being.  Chase is the one who loves to kill.  He didn't blink an eyelash when he bludgeoned his own wife.  He randomly killed people just to torment Oliver.  He had no reason for those killings.  He delights in the torment he gives.  His psychotic behavior makes him truly evil and truly dangerous.   He will try and destroy Diggle, Thea, and Felicity, before he is finished with Oliver.
