Steel Yourself for a Bumpy Olicity Ride

Okay, folks, it's pretty  much official from Stephen Amell himself, that Oliver Queen may have a relationship with Susan Williams.  Steel yourselves, because it's coming.  Who knows perhaps even Talia and he will have a relationship.

Why am I not afraid?  Because it's the unfolding of the story.  Felicity  was angry  with Oliver that he lied to her, and so left.  Remember she  has a whole lot of baggage from her father that carries over into  her relationships.  In her talk with Oliver in 505, you could almost see that she might have regretted her decision, and Oliver was  up front with her, that maybe he needs to move on  too.  Isn't that what an emotionally healthy person would do?  Oliver hasn't always been emotionally healthy.  He's had to grow as person and Felicity  was a huge part of that growth.  Could you see the hurt  he had in  his face when she finally  told him?

Do you find irony in the fact that Felicity places such a price for truth in  a relationship, and she lies not only  to Oliver by not telling him about Billy, (and yes, I believe it was a lie) but she lies to Billy. Billy asked if she told Oliver, and she lied and said yes.  She didn't want to come out and say because in her  heart she knows she  isn't over Oliver.  In a way, I  see Oliver as more emotionally  healthy than Felicity.

I  know a lot of  you are upset with the direction, but honestly, let's wait and see what happens before we jump ship. (No pun intended).  Remember, even Laurel hoped Oliver would  repair the relationship with Felicity.  Why?  Because even she knew they both were good for each other.

Remember, also this is Oliver's journey, not Felicity's.  We need to see Oliver grow.  I  think we are.  Part of that growth is seeing how he handles the loss of  a relationship he has been committed two since season 2.  Think what old Oliver would do?

Right now, I  see a possible rebuild happening.  I  think it will be quite a journey.  The ride is going to be very bumpy  for Olicity shippers, so buckle up  and enjoy  the ride. The  writers will land us safely back to Olicity.  Have hope.
